Dear id:tetsu-jp

Hatena Co., Ltd. uses LAMP technology -- Linux, Apache, MySQL and Perl.

"Inside Hatena Bookmark's Backend"(PDF) (in YAPC::Asia 2006 Tokyo) is a little old but still good English resource about the hosting system of Hatena Bookmark.

Dear id:Yuichirou,

at first, thank you for the information.

I have read about LAMP recently, also at MIXI they are using this system.

Since i have books about Perl, MySQL, and als Apache, i can even review it at home!

However, doing so, i encountered PHP not to be more than a C-derivate scripting frontend.

My question was, if HATENA is going to use WINDOWS/MICROSOFT technology in the foreseeable future,

or maybe, if HATENA Co. Ltd. will prefer "LAMP", because it is "free software".

Personally, after reviewing the PERL, MySQL and PHP, i decided not to put any effort into it, but opposite, stick to MICROSOFT technology.

I have also tried 3 (three) different LINUX, so i know what it is.

I liked the file systems, boot loader, but...

I do not consider it to be innovative.

For this reason, i think, can i continue to be HATENA member, and to interact with "LAMP" as user.

Or, it might become required to take departure from this system.

I am superstitious!

Also, i take a look at rings. This is what "LAMP" has attracted.

OK i have not decided yet.

I like HATENA. but i do not like "LAMP" technologies, or wikipedia.

Even if would say, the information about "LAMP" might be technically correct.

the product guide about WINDOWS VISTA is not ENCYLOPEDIA content, as it is brand new product!

I assume, they do not really care.

Indeed, the way WIKIPEDIA did communication, added bad touch to LINUX, GPL, and the like.

I would be happy to read your reply (will HATENA Co. Ltd. switch to MICROSOFT tools for webhosting).

There are many new technologies designed to interact with users, however, they are consumer technologies, not free software.

Thank you this time.

I strongly think LINUX usage should be abandoned.

If you look YAHOO groups, which also run "freely", my statement is not without reason, or without background.

I doubt one can make just one "social" contact there, or let say, friend.

I tried a few years, and now believe the LINUX etc. is NO GOOD.

I tried MySQL myself for webhosting. It is not really bad...for instance i had picture gallery.

6 months, only SPAM comments.

OK it works technically. But i think, there is something wrong generally,

i do not know if it can be explained or not.
